Worship Team Leader: 

Natacha Lalonde presently leads worship biweekly at New Renaissance.  She grew up loving music and singing which lead to her decision in her teens to join her local church worship team to give back to God and be part of bringing His creation in worship and adoration. Natacha’s desire is to see young people be transformed and changed and break free in worship, that they may live out the revelation of the word that says that we are ALL created to worship. She believes that God inspires by imparting new and creative sounds that surpasses all standards in today’s music and worship and that God uses music to bring people to there savior Jesus Christ.

Ministry Team Leader: Rachel Steele leads the ministry team at New Renaissance who minister to the people every Tuesday night.  She is passionate about seeing sons and daughters rise into their potential and destiny, believing that as people hear God’s voice, it can completely change how they see their identity. Rachel has seen this happen through the teams of people she has led in prophetic booths and on the street. She believes that the most effective form of ministering to others is by bringing the reality of the Gospel through demonstrations of power. Her heart is that the Young Adults in our nation would be completely transformed as they experience the supernatural reality of God and are brought into a greater revelation of His love for them.  Rachel also travels with Shawn and Michelle as a part of Kingdom Culture Ministries. Set-Up: Josh Taylor is the Set-up team leader at New Renaissance, making sure everything is set-up and ready to go for Tuesday night. He also leads teams on the streets for our Friday night outreaches. Every week he goes into the prisons to minister and share the love of God with people. He's passionate about worship and prayer. He also writes hip-hop music and paints graffiti on canvas. Josh has a heart to see a generation on fire for God, bringing a demonstration of the Kingdom to the lost.  Josh also travels with Shawn and Michelle as a part of Kingdom Culture Ministries. Intercession: Sandy Alfred, along with his wife Melissa, leads the prophetic intercessory team at New Renaissance under the guidance of Shawn & Michelle.  The burning passion of Sandy’s heart is to help prepare and equip a new breed of believers who understand the times and the seasons and who carry God’s heart. It’s his belief that through intimacy, “abiding in the secret place”, and total obedience, we will see the Glory of God cover the earth (Habakkuk 2:14). After moving from Ottawa to Toronto in 2002, Sandy was radically transformed through a supernatural encounter with God after being exposed to the atmosphere of heaven with 24-hour worship & prayer 7 days a week for more than a year. Just like young Samuel in the temple, Sandy grew both in favour with God and men, and his life has never been the same since. Sandy and Melissa have been part of strategic intercessory prayer mandates for over 3 years and have been actively involved with prayer walks, 24-hour prayer initiatives, and leading prayer meetings. Sandy was ordained in 2005 under Pastor Orim Meikle (Rhema Christian Ministry) located in Toronto, ON. He relocated with his family to the great city of Ottawa where they now work with New Renaissance.
Melissa Alfred did not group grow up in the church and spent her teenage years exploring the dark side of life.  Jesus made Himself known in a very dramatic way in the darkest time of her life and she was totally transformed. Through the leading of Holy Ghost in 2002, she became an intercessor at Rhema Christian Ministries where she served for 4 years. Today she resides in Ottawa and serves alongside her husband, Sandy Alfred, as the intercessory leaders for New Renaissance.  Melissa possesses a passion and burden to see the captives set free and the blind recover their sight. She has a genuineness about her that is rare and refreshing. Melissa is clearly marked and chosen for this end time movement.

 Nature of God (fitness ministry): Sasha Kuehl grew up in a small town, Palmer Rapids, ON, and moved to Ottawa in 2005 to complete her degree in International Business at Ottawa University. She had an encounter with Jesus Christ in 2009, and has been radically transformed ever since. She has a heart to see the younger gernation rise up to fulfill God's destiny and calling over their life. Sasha has two passions; Jesus Christ, and fitness. She currently leads a fitness and health ministry, Nature of God, which has a vision to see god's people live a healthy lifestyle that will be a reflection of His divine nature. Flaming Pens: Amy John grew up in a family environment that embraced culture and the performing arts, but not church or Jesus. While attending university in Montreal, Amy met Jesus and entered into a personal relationship with Him. As her relationship with Jesus deepened, so did her desire to see the Kingdom of heaven revealed on earth and the power of the Holy Spirit demonstrated in tangible ways. Amy has a passion for the craft of writing and believes that the divine creative nature of God can be extended through the art of writing. She also sees the very act of writing as a form of worship. Amy believes it is possible to release restoration, healing and edification through writing. Amy is married to Francis and they have three amazing kids.
Francis John was born in St. Vincent in the West Indies and moved to Montreal as a young boy with his family. He grew up attending church and youth group regularly. He accepted Christ into his heart and life at an early age. Francis moved to a new level with Christ when he went away on a U.S. basketball scholarship. In the U.S., his faith was challenged with campus life and his involvement with Campus Crusade for Christ. Francis continues to hunger and pursue God, as God reveals Himself in him. Francis and his beautiful wife Amy have three children.

Hospitality: Gemma Ridley born and raised in the Philippines, came to know Christ at the age of 15 through Campus Crusade for Christ, a campus-based ministry. Upon graduation from university, she moved to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to work in the government’s health department for 15 years. It was in this desert-filled land that the roots of her faith and relationship with Christ grew deeper (as well as challenged) as she encountered and experienced the power of God and the move of the Holy Spirit among His people in this Arab nation. It was also while in UAE that God made evident to her the calling He has on her life. Her countless adventures with Christ and her pursuit of God and His works among the nations took her to many places such as China, Singapore, Hong Kong, Africa, Australia, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Malta, Italy and many other countries. One thing that impacted Gemma on these trips was the ‘hospitality’ demonstrated by people whose lives were transformed by Christ. As she leads the hospitality team, her heart’s desire is to touch and impact lives through hospitality by ministering the servanthood and love modeled by Christ and practiced by the early church.
